Children's Winter Sewing Contest
To encourage sewing and creativity, Bunkhouse Books is offering you the opportunity to participate in our "Winter Sewing Contest" for Children. Please read the contest rules and entry information, and discover how you, your children, or some one you know can enter.

Sewing Project Entry
Make a vest. You may use any of the vest patterns in our books. Stitches & Pins has an open front, loose hanging type for beginners. Buckles & Bobbins has patterns for work, fishing or hunting vests, geared especially for guys, and Pins & Needles offers you a front button vest as well as a fleece vest pattern. Feel free to embellish, add, change the patterns - whatever you would like to do to make it uniquely yours.

A. Vest from Stitches & Pins Pattern
B. Vest from Buckles & Bobbins Pattern
C. Front Button Vest from Pins & Needles
D. Fleece Vest from Pins & Needles

Rules
1. It must have been sewn by the entrant between November 15, 2007 and April 15, 2008
2. There is a limit of 2 entries per child.
3. Contest is open to children ages 8 - 16.

Submission
1. Must submit a clear photograph of entry in a 4" X 6" or larger size of both front and back views of vest on entrant or person it was sewn for. Photos will not be returned. Please write name and age on back of both photos.
2. Submission form must accompany entry.
3. Submissions must be postmarked between January 1, 2008 and April 15, 2008.
4. Only mailed entries accepted. No submissions accepted by email.

Judging
1. Each of the 4 categories will be judged separately.
2. Judging will be based on overall appearance, creativity, fit, and quality of construction.
3. A panel of judges will select the 3 top entries in each category. These 3 top entries will be asked to send us their vest for final judging of construction. All vests will be returned with their awards.

Awards: Top 3 in each category

1st Place: $40.00 Gift Certificate
2nd Place: $25.00 Gift Certificate
3rd Place: $15.00 Gift Certificate
Gift certificates may be redeemed at www.bunkhousesewing.com
Winners will be notified by mail.
Winners will be featured in our "Catch the Sewing Bug" eNewsletter and on our website.
Bunkhouse Books will ship prizes to winners within 2 weeks of final judging.
