"Amazing God" Banner Patterns

Note:  We offer banner patterns for you to make and create your own banners - not ready-made banners.

These "Amazing God" banner patterns are my favorite. I place them at the intermediate level because the crinkle satin stretches, and therefore needs to be stabilized prior to cutting. Each of the large banners is made using Heat'n'Bond Lite applique. You may order these banners individually or save when ordering the entire set.

Dress Up A Banner With Fringe and Tassels
Learn how to make tassels and add fringe for an artistic flare to your banner patterns. These banners for church will have an added touch of beauty. Below you'll find a few ideas to help you learn how to make tassels.
  1. Determine the length of your cord and tassel. Hang the banner with rod on a wall. Hang your tape measure over the rod and let it drop down to determine how long you'd like the cord and tassel to hang.
  2. Determine how thick you want the cord. Usually for a smaller banner, you'll want a smaller tassel and light weight cord. A larger banner will use a thicker, heavier cord and larger tassel.
  3. Purchase all items to make tassels, cord and fringe at the same time to make sure you have a good color match.
  4. Decide how to make tassels to suit your banner patterns. You can purchase a ready made tassel, make a knotted tassel, learn to make tassels using fringe, or use drapery tie backs on smaller banners.
  5. If you decide to add fringe, add it after you banner is completed so it doesn't get tangled or sewn into the wrong seam.
Learning how to make tassels will teach you a new skill that will certainly enhance your banners. Christian banners will come alive on your sanctuary walls with this added touch of beauty.
